The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the superior quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company stage produced for intervention encounters a large influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the servicing of all buyers website and maximize use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
